Botany and Fibre

FAQ's

Can I wash my naturally dyed textiles?

Yes! Of course! All of our textiles have been treated (or mordanted) in order to keep the dyes fixed. However, natural dyes are living colours and some natural dyes can be more prone to fading over time in sunlight or when using strong washing detergants. The living and changing nature of botanical dyes is part of the glorious charm of getting closer to nature, however following the care instructions below will help maintain the colour and avoid fading and colour changes where possible.

Do you do custom orders/commissions?

Yes we do. We can create special pieces to your exact specifications, either from our collection such as pocket squares, or something more specialised such as up-cycling vintage textiles.

We can also use plants or flowers that you already have, for example wedding flowers, to create unique textiles that will capture those special memories so you can keep them for a lifetime.

Contact us for more information.

Do you do workshops?

We do workshops for individuals, groups, or school groups. If you have any requests please contact us for further information.

Workshop dates are added to the website as soon as they are available, keep updated by joining our mailing list.
